Concentrated Liquid Dyes
Liquid dyes are the most concentrated dyes, compared to Dye blocks and Dye Chips. Ideal for larger jobs, they are easily mixed to provide a wide range of colours to complement your chosen fragrance.
Usage
0.05% dye means using 1 gram of liquid dye for 2kgs of wax (1 drop to 500gms of wax for a light shade)
As a guide, to achieve -Pale Shades: 1gram per 20kgMedium Shades: 1gram per 2kg / 1 drop per 500gramsDark Shades: 2grams per 2kg Blue: 3 grams per 2kgAll dyes come in an amber bottle; 10gm and 25gm also come with convenient eye droppers
To get an indication of the colour of your wax when set, place a drop of wax on a sheet of white paper, the wax will quickly dry. Add more dye if necessary. Note: start with the smallest amount of dye - you can always add more, but it's not as easy to dilute/lighten the colour by adding more wax.
Please note: To achieve very dark colours you need to use quite a lot of dye. Keep adding drops until the desired colour is reached. You will then need to test burn to see if you require a bigger wick
